Someone asked me if I had awakened Kundalini and “what I can do”.

Those who say they have awakened usually have not… This is, generally, not something you publicly say you have done.

There are few things more personal than this blessing. Therefore my silence would say that maybe I have, maybe I have not. The only thing that matters is YOUR experience with it. The true awakening is egoless. The path is egoless.

If one were to say they have awakened it, they would be saying they have been blessed like very few have in this world. Is this something one should flaunt in people’s faces? Never. Am I saying that all those talking about their experiences are wrong? Of course not, there are always exceptions.

If you like the posts here and they inspire you to do the work yourself than I am happy, and so should you. Do I need to add words about myself if the posts here are enough and speak for themselves? No, I can keep to myself. This also makes me happy.

As for “the things one can do” when this force is active, this is even more personal. Where I to say this or that about what it gives, this would just create more beliefs in some people’s minds… There are already plenty of documents out there about it. I don’t consider new beliefs as a source of liberation of the mind. Quite the contrary, as Krishnamurti has been saying so often. All that is related to enlightenment (like Kundalini) is quite personal. Would you pursue enlightenment more because of a carrot in front of you? Because of the promise of abilities? The only goal should be total liberation. This means liberation from all expectations and attachment to the “gifts” it could give.

I would also like to add another thought. “Gifts” do not make a “better” person. Being able to do an out-of-body experience is not linked with an increase in your ability to love unconditionally. Gifts are like the wonderful aroma of flowers. Fringe benefits. The results of a flower blooming well. As wonderful as they may be, they are often traps for the ego if you desire them and are attached to acquiring them. These gifts are the natural results of proper inner liberation.

Purity, clarity, freedom, liberation from the traps of the ego, are some of the “gifts” that are truly important. Nothing else. Kundalini is one of the most potent tools to achieve this, yes. Kundalini should not be desired, but used wisely… Remember you can already have access to parts of its power even when it is not awakened. Why desire what you already have, even in its dormant form?

Namaste.

(here are a few comments I added to answer some reactions to this note)

1. Corinna wrote : I understand these words but also understand them as devolutionary. I feel a personal responsibility to share my changes with the world to assist in the global awakening process. Never has there been a time when our beautiful world has needed it more. My question is how are humans doing to know their potentiality as humans being if we do not share knowledge with them?

My reply:  Corinna. You raise a very important topic. I have been able to bring this page to thousands of interested people without ever sensing the need to use words that would point to me (except now ;P). I therefore know and have proven it is possible to explain some of the most advanced topics while taking ourselves out of the equation. The knowledge (and the intention behind it) is what is key. There are ways to use words so the notions pass in full force while still preserving the intimate garden of our personal experiences relatively intact…

Mind you, I would not mind describing personal experiences that have to do with simple abilities like out of body experience which most people could do… tonight! But Kundalini is in another category altogether and the hierarchy of ascended masters is actually rather strict about silence as a golden rule.

But I would agree with you that all rules have their exceptions. If I talk one on one with a person and they ask questions that can ONLY be answered with a personal parallel, then I will mention some things. As little as is necessary and even after having meditated on the issue. There are exceptions to everything… Sometimes silence is a crime indeed. I am sure you are getting the nuance Corinna.

2. An additional comment I wrote: What is happening on Earth IS amazing. People ARE waking up. Waking up in the sense that they realize what is important. Many see and and feel more. Many will even get sparks of the true Kundalini raise in one shot to the top of the head. But these experiences are as far from the true awakening of Kundalini as a rock is different from a human being.

3. Celeste wrote : “bullshit. MANY premature kundalini awakenings happening these days. it’s not the fairytale that is often portrayed.
My reply: “Thanks for adding some spice in the exchange Celeste. MANY people would wish to think their experience is the awakening of Kundalini. But it almost never is. The awakening of Kundalini is not like a fairy tale you are right. That is because it is 100 times more incredible than a fairy tale! 😉 It is not something one turns on with the flick of a finger or by filling a form on a website. It is not because we are in 2012 that human beings are instantly totally free and ready for the coming of the inner flame. Those “premature” awakenings you are referring to are wonderful jolts and shadows of the true awakening. Yes many are getting them. These are enough to completely change one’s life. Of these jolts we should talk about, you are totally right. As long as we see them is their proper perspective. Clarity of vision is key when talking about these

4. I would add to my original post that all rules have exceptions. Even the existence of rules can be questioned. If your mission IS to be talking about YOUR personal experience than so be it! My experience with people interested in spirituality is that I constantly see people who want to tell everyone they have awakened it when it simply isn’t the case… As I wrote many, many times on this page, it is a shame that many “incidents” are still referred to as a kind of “Kundalini awakening”.

Incidents like:

  • the K (kundalini) energy being misdirected
  • the K (kundalini) energy being forced opened when not ready
  • someone misinterpreting a strong flow of energy for K (this is so often the case)
  • people who would wish for it to be awakened and will see the first flash of inner light as a sign of K
  • people believing it is awakened because they were told it was…
  • people thinking this awakening is a simple, trivial matter and that they awoke it already and have ‘moved on” to better things…
  • people who have had a jolt or spark or bolt of this energy go up the spine through ALL SORTS of ways (from falling down to yogic postures). These jolts may be strong enough to create a lasting life changing experience
  • unbalanced people who would so wish to explain their inner problems with something as grandiose and noble as K (there are more people than we think in this condition)
  • and many more…
