Not all is as seems to be. There are battles between light and darkness even when it comes to Kundalini… Thousands suffer from “masters” who pretend/propose quick awakenings or odd ways to use sexual energy.

I wish I could only just talk about beauty and wonders. I wish I could say all is good everywhere. All paths are good, all gurus do good, etc. But sadly no. Especially since our group is getting so big and I receive more and more distressing emails every week (sorry to those I haven’t been able to answer yet).

There are a few gurus (many of them, but four main ones I hear more about at the time of this post) that teach things that are in complete opposition to all that I have known to be positive with regards to Kundalini. In complete contradiction with all that has been taught not just by traditions in India but by more serious groups and individuals all over the world. I fear this will lead to many confrontations but it is important to consider all that is offered to the unsuspecting newcomer when it comes to Kundalini.

I tend to consider all paths around Kundalini to be very creative and most will benefit some individuals in some ways. But I must say that of the close to 60 thousand members of this page (at the time of this post), no paths have been the source of so much damage in people than the paths proposed by these four. Many people who were damaged by them. Their reputation is such that there is not much I can do. Thousands follow them without questioning anything.

They will probably continue to damage the minds and bodies of men and women all over the world for a long time. The only thing I can do here is to try to play doctor and mend the wounds and damage done, while receiving the hate of all those who adore these gurus and who have not been damaged … yet.

I will not name them, the idea is to talk about what they (and many like them) do. They are followers of the idea of instant Kundalini. Yes instant. Some even claim you only need to fill a form on the web and it will be awakened for you. You can even awaken Kundalini by watching them on youtube according to others. Really? I do not think one can awaken Kundalini with an online form or youtube video (did I even need to write this?). Many individuals will make themselves believe anything in relation with Kundalini because it is … the new power trip. Everyone wants to say: hey! I have awakened Kundalini! It’s real easy! As if the process to create a new fully developed multidimensional being in the world was as easy as to fill in a form on the web…

This world is gone Kundalini-crazy and everyone thinks they can awaken it in instantly in themselves or other people. In one week-end or less or your money back! Total liberation guaranteed!

It is impressive how strongly people wish to believe they have awakened it. It is impressive how the mind is so strong as to make us believe we experienced symptoms in relation with it when there are hundreds of possibilities for each altered state of consciousness.

But of those who will have really awakened something, there is something to remember. People forget there are two kinds of Kundalini awakenings… Either it is a “spark”, a part of Kundalini, that goes from the bottom of the spine to the top of the head in one shot and can have effects that last between a fraction of a second to a lifetime, or it is the great awakening that only opens the bottom chakra AND the door for it to fully climb up, gradually, vertebra by vertebra, along the path of the 33 degrees of the spine. I would say the first type is what 99.99999% of people call a Kundalini awakening (that is, when they REALLY did awaken something). It’s effects last between seconds to years to an entire lifetime, and will vary from making someone “feel good” to driving them crazy, to possibly making them connect with the universe. The second, according to sacred teachings, will last well beyond this life and into eternity, it is meant to create a new super human being. The first one lives in time, the second one lives outside of time. The first one will fade away, the second one is the start of the building of your inner sacred temple… The first one can be had by all, the second one is supposedly only given to those destined to be the next great enlightened minds on Earth.

Are you this humble next guide of humanity? It is interesting to note that in my experience, those who have had real awakenings are often quiet and humble about it. Unless of course they require help.

Be careful of the sellers of quick awakenings. I do think certain lineages of gurus seem to be legitimate and really provide this sort of awakening but they are extremely rare. Be careful of those who shout everywhere that they have awakened this force, or have this or that power or are such and such a grand master. Remember, when it seems too good, easy and quick to be true… It usually IS!
